Maisel Montgomery (12) The Ringleader
In this corner of Harrington, Maisel’s in charge. That is when she’s not in a power struggle with her ever-frustrating younger brother, Pocket.

Without Maisel’s over-attentive, controlling style of running things, there would be no Neighbourhood Watch. She speaks her mind and has an opinion on how things should be done, even if she’s not fully informed about the situation. She is a naturally strong leader, and even if she’s the one to get her friends into a sticky situation, she’s also the one who will think of a way out.
Maisel loves attention, being recognized, and, of course, winning. She will stop at nothing to ensure the good folks of Harrington are adequately protected. She laughs in the face of danger and will blindly run into any situation where she believes something should be done.
She’s rarely frustrated more than when people ignore the problems so clearly around them. Despite her ability to notice issues, she’s not always the most self-aware of people and will occasionally hurt her friend’s feelings by misreading situations.
Pocket Montgomery (12) – 10 months Maisel’s junior

Pocket derives immense enjoyment from disrupting Maisel’s plans. Like all little brothers, he lives to find pressure points and dig in where it hurts.
Pocket adores mayhem. He loves nothing more than witnessing a supernatural occurrence that threatens to flip the entirety of Harrington on its head. This is only amplified when Maisel becomes stressed by the world stepping out of order. He cares less about solving whatever mystery they are currently up against and more about being in the middle of something exciting. Despite his impulsiveness, he does find himself wishing the other members of the Neighbourhood Watch would give him more responsibility.
He’s reckless and energetic, which often gets him into trouble. However, when it comes to solving mysteries, his unrelenting, adventurous attitude keeps the group’s morale up, particularly through tense times.
Sasheen (12) – The Scientist
Sasheen is the brains of the operation. It’s thanks to her knowledge that the Neighbourhood Watch can subdue the threats facing Harrington. She may be younger than some of the group members, but when it comes to quantum mechanics, few can top her.

Her proficiency in science is not reflected in her social skills. Often utterly unaware of how her words affect those around her, she spouts off opinions without thinking through the ramifications. Where Maisel likes to jump into a situation and devise a plan on the fly, Sasheen prefers to think through every possible outcome. As one can imagine, this causes their friendship to constantly teeter on the brink of a blowout. No matter what happens, though, they always find a way to forgive each other.
Murlocke (12) – The Reluctant

Murlocke feels he is misunderstood by his father, teachers, and friends. Everyone believes that they know what’s best for Murlocke when he’s not even sure he knows what he wants for himself.
Murlocke rebels against his father’s passions through apathy. He generally sports a darkly coloured outfit and sulks in the shadows.
He feels a deep sense of loyalty to Maisel and Sasheen because they don’t have any expectations of what he should do with his life. He may not share Maisel and Sasheen’s passion for stopping the supernatural threat, but because of his loyalty to the two of them, he always finds himself in the middle of a Neighbourhood Watch.
